Restore the Playhouse.
$250,000 to give Jackson's oldest building a new balcony, a reinforced roof, and the insulation it needs to stay open all year for the kids of this town.

Jackson isn't short of kids who want this. It's short of rooms to put them in.
Every summer, local children rehearse and perform on the Playhouse stage. Then the season ends, the building closes for winter, and they wait until June. Homeschool families ask for daytime classes. Families with kids in school ask for afternoons. Spanish-speaking parents ask whether their child can perform in their own language. A building that works in every season is what lets us say yes.

Three projects. One year-round Playhouse.
A new balcony
More seats for families and audiences, and more room for the young performers and productions a year-round program brings. [CONFIRM scope: seats added, design, accessibility]
A reinforced roof
A hundred-year-old building needs a roof that can carry a Jackson winter, so the theatre can stay open safely when the snow comes. [CONFIRM scope from contractor]
Insulation
Warmth for classes, rehearsals, and performances from October to May, and lower heating costs every season after. [CONFIRM scope]
Estimated project cost: $250,000. [CONFIRM the breakdown by project (balcony $__ / roof $__ / insulation $__ / contingency & permits $__), the contractor, and the target construction window.]
